Sandstone Pavement Renovation
Work is now well under way to renovate our Sandstone Pavement. This feature was laid out in 1994 and featured in Geoff Hamilton's Practical Gardening Course book. Seventeen years on it was in need of a breath of fresh air, so it has been very much a case of removing everything, stones included, and starting again from scratch. The only thing that is staying put is our rather fine specimen of Picea galuca albertiana 'Conica'. The stones will be replaced in a different way with some plants being replaced but many new ones being used, but it will still be staying true to the original concept.
