Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 General Topping up mulched areas if starting to look sparse. Allotment Dug out CELERY trench. Watering regularly in dry weather. Parterre Planted SWEET WILLIAMS. Greenhouse Watering TOMATOES , MELONS, AUBERGINES, PEPPERS and CUCUMBERS every day. General Cutting back all BEECH hedges, using a hedgecutter. Watering newly planted plants during dry and breezy spells. Allotment Started to fill in LEEK trench. Planted LETTUCE 'Salad Bowl'. Greenhouse Ventilating on hotter days. General Watering pots around the gardens and in the greenhouses daily in hotter weather and every other day when cooler. Also feeding potted flowering plants weekly with a high potash seaweed liquid feed. Felled our two CHERRY trees in the orchard as they had become very badly infected with silverleaf, leaf curl, amongst others, and were beyond saving. Allotment Hoed and weeded all areas. Greenhouse Regularly checking for new male and female flowers on MELONS and fertilising female flowers when necessary. Watering TOMATOES , MELONS, AUBERGINES, PEPPERS and CUCUMBERS every day. General Weeding and planting through borders, where required, and incorporating compost. All freshly planted plants are watered in well. Keeping bird baths topped up.
