Artisan's Cottage Garden

Built for the 1995 BBC 2 series ‘Geoff Hamilton’s Cottage Gardens’ on a very small budget.

All the features are easily made by the average do-it-yourselfer and all the plants are easy to grow and propagate.

This garden has been designed very much around the old fashioned cottage gardener’s theory that every plant will find its own best place. The garden really epitomized Geoff’s approach to gardening, with the plants crammed in and allowed to do their own thing in what seemed to be organized chaos.

Most of the plants used for this series came from our small nursery, so the opportunity to go planting mad was just too tempting!
