This large greenhouse is used to display alpines, many of which would not survive outside in our wet winter climate.

Very strong benching has been used with one side permanently planted, whilst the other has potted plants sunk into sand that can be replaced once their period of interest has passed.

There is no heating in the greenhouse as its sole purpose is to keep out the rain so that all water applied to the plants can be regulated.
